2010 NASA Internship
Meredith Perry attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she received B.A. degrees for Paleobiology, Geology, and Astrobiology. While she was an undergrad, Perry received scholarship funding from the Pennsylvania Space Grant Consortium in 2010 and 2011 that aided her astrobiology research with Dr. Chris McKay of NASA Ames. During her senior year at UPenn she entered an inventor’s competition that led her to the invention of uBeam, a product that transmits power using ultrasonic waves, allowing electronic devices to be charged wirelessly. Today she is the CEO and Founder of uBeam, which is gearing up to release its products to the public within the next few years.
