Hey there! My name is Faye Schlake and I’m a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I’m mostly interested in I/O Psychology, with an emphasis in recruitment and leadership in the workplace. I’m a research assistant at Dr. Adams’ SVIP Lab, Dr. Simkin’s TCaT Lab, and I’m also a registered behavioral technician. Next year, I’m planning to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in I/O Psychology!

Hi there! My name is Lizzie Palmieri, and I am a senior double majoring in Psychology B.A. in the College of the Liberal Arts and Marketing B.S. in the Smeal College of Business. I am interested in the intersection of I/O Psychology and R&D and am a Fall 2023 teaching assistant in the Psychology department. I am also a staff writer for Onward State, Penn State’s most-followed, student-run media outlet, and previously held leadership roles of THON DAR Chair and Corporate Relations Intern for PSU Women in Business.

Hi, my name is Ava and I am a senior double majoring in Psychology (life sciences path) and Sociology. I am an RA in Sean Laurent’s Morality and Social Cognition lab on University Park’s campus and an RA in the Adolescent Medicine Specialty Clinic at Penn State Health. I have also been involved with Penn State Homecoming for the past 2 years as the emcee coordinator captain. I also recently joined the team at Centre Helps as a crisis hotline counselor.

Hi, my name is Lydia and I am a junior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Health Policy & Administration! I have been involved with THON over my time here at Penn State, as well as a few other clubs. I plan to further my education by obtaining my Psy.D. in hopes of becoming a mental health therapist one day.

Maddie Harnish
Hello everyone! My name is Maddie Harnish, and I am a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology as well as a minor in Theatre Studies. My goal is to graduate a year early in the Spring of 2024 and attend grad school for clinical psychology. I am an RA for Dr. Levy’s lab for Personality, Psychopathy, and Psychotherapy research and will start working as an RA for Dr. Wadsworth’s CaRES lab in the upcoming semester. I also plan to be an LA for Dr. Rose’s PSYCH 270 class. Alongside school, I work as a mental health technician for The Meadow Psychiatric Facility.

Sam Sibold
Hi, my name is Sam, and I am a junior majoring in psychology and minoring in Spanish. I am a research assistant for Dr. Witherspoon’s Context and Development Lab where a goal of the research is to shed light on the development or rural and urban adolescents with an emphasis on contextual supports. I also helped found the club U-Belong which exists to help to build community among Psychology majors. I plan on taking a gap year after I graduate and then applying to medical school in order to become a psychiatrist.

Rebecca Burns
Hello! I am Rebecca Burns. I am a senior majoring in psychology with an emphasis on business. I plan to pursue a PhD after graduation. I am a RA in Professor Min’s IO lab, where I am focusing my honors thesis on the moral implications of AI in the workplace. When I am not in school, I loved playing video games. Over the summer, I held a position as an Amazon Marketplace Intern where I created short advertisement videos. So, if you ever need help with video editing, you know who to call.

Rachel Buterbaugh
Hi there! My name is Rachel I am a junior majoring in Psychology (Life Sciences) and minoring in Anthropology. Currently, I’m a research assistant for Dr. Cameron’s Empathy & Moral Psychology Lab, and Lead TA for SOC 120N, a 720+ person class. You can also find me in the Department of EPCSE working as an Administrative Support Assistant. I’ve been happily involved with THON for several years, and plan to attend graduate school to pursue a PhD in Psychology.
