Ryan is a sophomore studying civil engineering. He started running in 10th grade and quickly found his love for the sport. He then learned of Club XC through a friend in the grade above him. This love was then fostered by the best club on campus with a fun, relaxed mentality that allowed him to find his closest friends. When not at Rec Hall, Ryan enjoys scrolling through Strava (after being converted as a Strava mang), watching way too much Netflix, and cooking a lot of food. Ryan is excited to be a workout chair for a wonderfully talented team and looks forward to an impressive year.
Chloe is a sophomore studying psychology and bioethics. Ever since getting lost on her first day of practice (and getting rescued), she has felt grateful for her teammates and proud to be a part of the Club XC family. When Chloe isn’t at practice, you can catch her hand feeding the squirrels on campus. Chloe is thrilled to work with all the talented and passionate runners on Club XC. She hopes to use her love for racing to develop gritty workouts and be a resource for training/racing advice. Most of all, Chloe is excited to support her teammates in reaching their goals and encourage their love of running. She is eager to bring home another NIRCA title with the best team in the world!
Brendan is a Sophomore studying Journalism and Political Science. He found out about the club through the website and made the decision to continue his running career with one of the best groups on campus. He enjoys the competitive spirit that is present at practice and meets as well as the easygoing nature of the club as well. He enjoys racing at any distance but prefers Cross Country. Brendan is looking to help the team maintain its success at NIRCA Nationals and helping his teammates achieve their personal goals as well. When Brendan isn’t running, you can find him listening to music, playing and watching basketball, and writing for the Daily Collegian.
Darcy is a sophomore majoring in Nutrition. After taking some time off after running in high school, Darcy decided to join the Club XC team this past fall. She is so glad she did! She loves the chill atmosphere for running and racing. She also likes that she was able to make new friends and to travel different places for races. As a workout chair, Darcy wants to help people with their running by drawing from her previous experiences. She is looking forward to talking to teammates and to learn about their own personal running experiences and helping them accomplish their goals throughout the season! Besides Club XC, Darcy loves to hang out with her friends, eat ice cream (she’s tried about 42 creamery flavors since freshman year!), and go to all the sporting events PSU has to offer! She’s so excited to be a workout chair and get to work with the incredible people on the team.
