Broomball
Broomball is one of the events that makes Penn State IEEE so unique among Penn State clubs. Held at Penn State University’s renowned Pegula Ice Arena, this member-favorite event allows members of all levels of athletic ability to engage in recreation as equals and to interact in a social setting.
Coffee Socials
Penn State IEEE often hosts Coffee Social events during the week that allow student-members to take a quick break from their busy schedules and enjoy a free serving of coffee and doughnuts, even if simply passing from class-to-class. We hope to create an atmosphere that allows members to socialize, study, and sometimes even network professionally. This past fall, Penn State IEEE was proud to host a coffee social sponsored by KCF Technologies, which allowed members to network and interact with industry professionals representing KCF.
IM Sports
Penn State’s Intramural Sports program is yet another way that Penn State IEEE allows for its members to engage in physical and socially-stimulating recreational activities, regardless of athletic ability. It’s diverse selection of events include everything from soccer to volleyball. This past fall semester, Penn State IEEE’s “Kickoff Voltage Law” and it’s 34 players participated in IM Sports’ Flag Football program.
Frequently, Penn State’s IEEE will host game nights where members compete in thrilling activities against each other while raising money for THON. In the past, these game nights have included Mario Kart Tournaments, casino nights, and more. This past fall semester, IEEE hosted its second Mario Kart Tournament where members competed to win giftcards while donating money towards THON!
