MEMBERS
Co-Editor – Akshilkumar Patel is a sophomore at Penn State University and the Schreyer Honors College studying biology, with a concentration in neuroscience. As an undergraduate, Akshil serves on the Association of Residence Hall Students and is the President of The GLOBE Special Living Option, in addition to being an editor of the Journal of International Affairs. Akshil is also a member of the Presidential Leadership Academy, and an undergraduate researcher in the Bernhard Luscher neuroscience lab. After graduation, Akshil aspires to enter medical school and become a physician. In his free time, Akshil enjoys researching cars, reading mystery novels, and playing ball sports.
Co-Editor – Stephanie Springer is a sophomore in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in History and Political Science with a minor in Middle Eastern Studies. She is also president of the Malini Club, a Penn State organization that works for the advancement of girls’ education globally. Stephanie has interned at the Frick Art & Historical Center and is interested in working in public history, diplomacy, or for an international nonprofit.
Co-Editor – Larissa Gil is a junior in the Schreyer Honors College majoring in Philosophy and German. She serves as secretary of the Penn State Mock Trial Association and competes on their A team. She is also Vice President of the Penn State Odyssey of the Mind Club and Secretary of the Moot Court Association on campus. She represents the College of the Liberal Arts as a Liberal Arts Envoy and is a member of the University Park Undergraduate Association as a Student Conduct Advisor. She hopes to study international law after graduation and live in Germany for a couple years to perfect her German.
Associate Editor – Ian Button is a senior graduating December 2015 with degrees in finance and German and minors in international business and international studies. He is an active member of the Schreyer Honors College, Paterno Fellows Program, and Beta Gamma Sigma business honors society.
