Spring Break Harrisburg Transportation

Transportation Drop: off Friday, March 3, Pick-up on Sunday, March 12

Last day to sign-up is on Wednesday, March 1 at 3:00 pm

Van departs campus at 5:00 p.m. for airport/bus/train station. If a student is flying to the Harrisburg airport to return to campus, the student will need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus/train station in Harrisburg. The van will depart the Harrisburg Train/Bus station at 7:00 pm (unless otherwise changed) on Sunday, March 12. We will try to accommodate students concerning pick up, but they will need to come in the office to discuss their schedules and times.

Just sign up for the transportation with your PSU ID in the Campus Life Office, Conklin 207. Note: You may only sign yourself up for trips.

You will be charged if you sign up for transportation and then do not show up.

 

Thanksgiving Harrisburg Transportation

The following information has been given to students. Please encourage them to sign up early:

Drop off Friday, Nov. 18, Pick-up on Sunday, November 27
Last day to sign-up is on Wednesday, November 16 at 3:00 pm

11:30 a.m. departure for airport only. Van departs campus at 5:00 p.m. for bus/train station only. If a student is flying to the Harrisburg airport to return to campus, the student will need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus/train station in Harrisburg. The bus/van will depart the Harrisburg Train/Bus station at 7:00
p.m. sharp on Sunday, November 27.

Harrisburg Transportation for November & December

The following is information that was sent to all students via email concerning transportation for the holidays. Please encourage your family member/friend to make arrangements prior to deadlines to guarantee their seat. They can sign up at any time in the Campus Life Office. Only the student can sign up for the transportation and they must come in with their Penn State Mont Alto ID and money.

we have set up for you to go to the Harrisburg Train Station, Bus station, or airport.
The transportation costs $15.00 one way, $30.00 round trip.

Harrisburg Transportation for December:
Drop-off THURSDAY, December 17 and FRIDAY, December 18

Deadline to sign up is WEDNESDAY, December 16 at 3:00 pm
Leaving Thursday (Dec. 17th):
One van will leave campus at 11:30 a.m. on December 17 to the airport only.
One van will leave campus at 5:00 p.m. on December 17 to go to  the bus/train station
Leaving Friday (Dec. 18th):
One van will leave campus at 5:00 p.m. for the train/bus station/ airport if needed.

Returning to campus:
If a student is flying to the Harrisburg airport to return to campus, the student will need to take a taxi from the airport to the bus/train station in Harrisburg.
The bus/van will depart the Harrisburg Train/Bus station at 7:00 p.m. sharp on Sunday, January 11th to return to the campus.

You are responsible for making your arrangements for your Harrisburg bus, train, or plane tickets. We do not make those arrangements for you.

Harrisburg Transportation

The Campus Life Office offers transportation to the Harrisburg train and bus station as well as the Harrisburg airport. The cost is $15 each way. Students may sign up for “one way” if needed. Only the student may sign himself/herself up for transportation. A Penn State ID and cash or check is required at time of sign- up. Please note the times of departure and return when making ticket arrangements. Students should arrive at the designated location 15 minutes prior to departure from campus or stations. Because there are a limited numbers of seats, the student should sign up as soon as possible in the Campus Life Office (Rm. 207, Conklin Hall). Bags are limited to 1 (one) carry on (lap) and 1 (one) average -size suitcase. If there are any questions, please ask your student to stop in the Campus Life office.

The following dates have been scheduled for transportation:

Nov. 21st, returning Nov. 30th (11:30 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. departure from campus)
Dec. 18th, returning Jan. 11th (11:30 a.m. & 5:00 p.m. departures from campus)
Dec. 19th, returning Jan. 11th (5:00 p.m. departure from campus)

*Students are responsible to purchase their own bus/train/plane tickets.
*Please remember that we cannot hold the vans/buses because your student is running late.
*Please keep in mind that because of costs we may need to consolidate students onto a particular trip.
*We try to run each of the van trips but a trip may be cancelled due to lack of sign-ups.
