We are interested in a wide variety of questions related to physics education, for example:

  • How does our community define graduate student success?
  • What is the impact of alternative grading on teaching and learning?
  • How can we better encourage the development of physics problem solving skills?
    • Use of pictures (development of multi-representation skills)
    • Use of dimensional analysis (for “unit-checking”)
    • Conscious use of models
  • How do teaching styles impact student attitudes towards physics?
  • How can we help students develop self-efficacy in the physics classroom?
