The Science Policy Society stands as a unique organization at Penn State that dissects the vital connection between the world class research completed at PSU and the complex network of parties which develop the budgets, policies, and regulations which impact our ability to remain a strong research institution.  To unravel the many layers at the intersection between science and policy, the SPS focuses on self-education, legislator engagement, and community outreach. Within these three areas, we build a foundation of knowledge about the intricacies of the legislative process, we interface with policymakers on the issues important to our research, and we foster personal connections with the community to cultivate widespread support for the sciences.
