SoT Workshop

Here at the Penn State University Park campus, we host a monthly program called Science on Tap, where we bring the best researchers from campus to a downtown bar and restaurant to give a short talk about their research to an audience of people from all over the State College area – both individuals from the science community as well as those simply interested in learning. Over the past two years, Science on Tap has connected Penn State researchers and local citizens over drinks and food, fostering a comfortable and informal space to discuss science in terms that the public can understand.

Our group is hosting a one-day workshop on September 21 on how to initiate a Science on Tap program at your local campus. It will feature panels from previous speakers and organizers, including well-known scientists such as Michael Mann, as well as free lunch and dinner. Additionally, if travel costs are a concern, we will be providing a limited number of travel grants for attendees.

If you are interested in attending, please register below. Feel free to contact us with any questions at psusciencepolicy@gmail.com.
