During Jess Walter’s visit to Penn State in March 2015, WPSU’s Patty Satalia interviewed him for her program “Take Note.”

His 2012 masterpiece Beautiful Ruins was the 2015 Centre County Reads selection, and he served as the Penn State English Department’s 2015 Fisher Family Writer-in-Residence.  NPR’s Fresh Air called the book “A literary miracle.” Salon called it “Damn near perfect.”
