QualPage, The University of Georgia
Originated by Judy Norris, retired associate professor of nursing at the University of Alberta in Canada, now managed by Judith Preissle, professor in the qualitative research program at the University of Georgia. This page started as a private repository of information for graduate students learning about qualitative data analysis software, but eventually evolved into a place where researchers with diverse interests and expertise contributed resources toward a useful and knowledgeable collection.
International Institute for Qualitative Methodology, University of Alberta
The Institute was founded in 1998, with the goal of facilitating the development of qualitative research methods across a wide variety of academic disciplines. IIQM is a collaborative center for those who seek to use and advance qualitative inquiry. This site provides articles from the International Journal of Qualitative Methods (IJQM), the world’s premier peer-reviewed open access qualitative methodological journal. IJQM seeks to facilitate the development of qualitative methods and distribute knowledge about qualitative methodology to the widest possible community of researchers and professionals.
The Qualitative Report, Nova Southeastern University
A weekly online journal dedicated to qualitative research since 1990. Compiled by Ron Chenail, this resource list is dedicated to providing researchers, clinicians, teachers, and students with access to a collection of qualitative research sites and materials available on the Web. These resources include papers, books, dissertations, proposals, journals, and syllabi.
The International Consortium for the Advancement of Academic Publication
Gene Shackman, Applied Sociologist, maintains this site. Shackman has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the State University of New York, University at Albany. The Qualitative Methods page provides free resources for ethnographic research, surveys, interviewing techniques, focus groups, sampling, qualitative data analysis, and content analysis.
