Really insightful post! I agree. I think the United States (and other countries that are experiencing the beginning of the outbreak right now) are in a really interesting position. Since we are a few days behind areas like Italy, we can see what has worked and what has not. Using this information, we can go about trying different tactics that have worked well for other countries, and avoid tactics that haven’t worked. Already,–especially through social media–I’ve noticed that awareness of the virus and importance of self-quarantining has spread rapidly. I’m very curious to see if these efforts pay off.
