Just a reminder that this will be our first week of regular programming (the schedule is listed below). Everyone needs to keep the following things in mind when you are doing your shows:
- All DJs need to show up at least 10 minutes before the start of their show to make sure that they are ready to go at the top of the hour.
- Shows begin and end according to the time listed on the schedule, regardless of whether your last song is done playing. Most DJs won’t mind if your last song cuts into the first 1-2 minutes of their show, but you shouldn’t make that assumption.
- Everyone needs to sign and leave their initials when they leave.
- Be sure to provide information about all the songs and artists that you play on the air.
- In addition to announcing campus events and reading Public Service Announcements, you should tell listeners the name of the show that immediately follows yours (or the one on the next morning, if you are the last DJ on the air that day).
- If you are the last person to DJ a live show for the day but your show is followed by automated programming, make sure you DO NOT shut off the broadcasting equipment.
- If you are playing digital music it should be played via Megaseg. Doing so will avoid the hassle of fumbling with a portable device
