Hi all! My name is Sarah Lessig and I am the author of “Sarah’s Spectacular RCL Blog”. I am from Horsham, Pennsylvania, approximately 40 minutes north of Philadelphia. I am a freshman at Penn State University’s Smeal College of Business, with an intended major of Actuarial Science.

A few things you should know about me are that I am an avid Philadelphia sports fan, with a primary focus on football, basketball, and baseball. I am also enthusiastic about staying up to date with national and international politics, as well as pushing for social justice and reform.

In this blog, I will be sharing about topics deriving from the Rhetoric and Civic Life course at Penn State. From my understanding, RCL uses a multitude of assignments to assist Penn State freshman in achieving a higher level of proficiency in writing and public speaking. I will be primarily writing RCL blogs about the different pillars of community.

In addition to RCL blogs, I will also be focusing on writings about Philadelphia sports. As a Philadelphia suburbs native, I live and breathe Philly sports, so stay tuned for blog posts regarding the history and current state of the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, and Flyers.
