INTRO

“Women, Life, Freedom.” Chants from all across the country of Iran, and the world, have been ringing since the death of Mahsa Amini in the hands of country’s Morality Police for not wearing her hijab correctly. Since her death, masses of civilians have taken to the streets in protest of the country’s theocratic government. Her death has sparked outrage in the country over the sexist laws against women, specifically the law stating that women must wear a hijab at all times in all public places. The following artifacts display rhetoric in the forms of commonplaces, pathos, and visuals to highlight the growing importance of the human rights violations in Iran.
