Debunked Research

The author of Studies Show That Studies Are Bunk, Andy Kessler, argues that research done for the way humans act are not always true, and they are being manipulated the way the researcher wants them to be. However, these false claims are being debunked. The reason that research is not always true is due to who the researchers are, and in most cases, they are done by college students, not by experts.

Although research done by college students may be accurate, they are not always reliable because of the way the students are conducting the research. Most research by college students are probably done in a psychology lab for their class, and they are not real-life situations. Observing real-life situations are crucial in human behavior studies, and as I research a paradigm shift of political and economic effects on fashion throughout the years, I have to be very careful with the information I choose to use.

Political and economic effects on fashion are most caused from human behavior, and how one reacts to the politics or economics of the time. The shift, or paradigm shift, of fashion is how humans react to change style and how it is being influenced. Because my paradigm shift is so centered on human behavior and reaction, it is crucial for me to find statistics and research that is not bunked. To do this, I must find resources, such as books, articles, studies, etc., that are credible and by scholarly sources. Having multiple scholarly sources also reinforces the results of studies claimed in my paradigm shift essay. This will legitimize my paper, and help make a strong argument.

Debunking false research can be tricky, but taking the time to find correct facts can only benefit an essay in the end.
