Juan Pablo Gevaudan, Ph.D.
Architectural Engineering Assistant Professor
Juan Pablo Gevaudan (JP) is a modern cement chemist with expertise in the development and durability of both conventional and alternative cementitious materials. He was born and raised in Venezuela and lived in Mexico before settling in the United States. He completed a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Later he received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is the recipient of more than 12 honors and awards as well as the 2019-2021 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. He is passionate about teaching, mentoring and increasing the number of underrepresented minorities within science and technology fields as well as higher education.
