For my civic issues blog, I want to talk about politics. For starters, this is my major so I want to challenge myself to be involved in politics as much as possible. There is continually political discourse, whether it be between the President and the people, the President and Congress, between party lines, or even in the state and local government. Because the media is by nature pretty negative and loves to focus on everything bad happening in politic, I think it’ll be easy to keep up with and write all about the issues and topics within Politics. As we draw closer and closer to the 2020 election, we see many potential presidential nominees, like New Englands’ Elizabeth Warren, Texas’ Beto O’Rouke, and Joe Biden to name a few. It’ll be exciting to see exciting talk as we get ready to head into mass campaigning, debates, and rallies.
I think it would be really interesting if you wrote about the 2020 political election and predictions that you have and who is starting their campaign. I think that’s something that’s really important to research and could be very beneficial for other people reading your blog.
I think that picking a topic that aligns with your major is a great idea since it is something that you have a strong interest in and are working to expand your knowledge about.
This would be an awesome topic to use because you can also incorporate what you are learning into what is happening today. I liked how you mentioned the media because they play a huge roll in what the public sees.
