Jerome Clarke is a dual-title Ph.D. candidate in the Departments of African American Studies and Philosophy at Penn State (University Park). His research constellates around critical philosophies of politics, race, and technology in Black Studies and the Frankfurt School Tradition. He aims to augment his teaching by way of practicing critical pedagogy and facilitating classroom studies of analytical thought, society, and technical systems from varied global and structural vantages. Clarke will immediately incorporate and test these approaches in the courses Critical Thinking (SU20; PHIL 010), Philosophy of Technology (FA20: PHIL 107), and Individual and Society (SP21: PHIL 002).
