The vegetation is different by the colors of the two maps. True color is showing the true color you would see from above. Trees will show up shades of pink but a open field of grasses will show up a shade of green on the infrared map. The hardwoods are a lighter shade of pink compared to the softwoods that are a dark pink. Normally the hardwoods do not have leaves on the trees either when the picture is taken. The body of water is also darker when looking at the infrared map. True color maps will show the true color of the water. The infrared maps typically black out bodies of water. The NAIP was taken in 2010 meaning the landscape has changed and some colors may or may not be there today. 10 years ago trees could be smaller then 10 years later it grows overtop of something covering it up.
