Florida International University

Rodrigo Torcida and Francesco Cascarano

Transportation is a huge part of modern life, having the ability to get from place to place is important in order to maintain quality of life and accomplish one’s life goals. This is something usually not considered by most people but to people with wheelchairs this factor plays a huge roll in everyday life. Being able to travel about and complete everyday tasks like grocery shopping or going to work has become very difficult for people with wheelchairs because of the accessibility problems presented with a wheelchair. This project aims to reduce this effect by introducing the Green Trolley Wheelchair Access project, a project that aims to restore the accessibility of public transportation to people with wheelchairs.
