Dressing can be difficult for people with upper extremity impairment affecting one limb or hand. Using the traditional hanger requires both hands for hanging cloth on the hanger. Thus, we designed this pure mechanism assistive hanger for helping users hang or remove their clothes from a hanger and allow these actions to be performed with a single hand. Our design uses a Pin-in-a-Slot mechanism to enable users to close and expand the hanger arms. The product seeks to enable users experiencing these conditions to easily place their clothes on a clothes hanger for storage and remove the articles of clothing from the hanger for wearing.
