When the old children’s garden rules sign at the Arboretum at Penn State needed to be replaced, we decided to shorten the text and add some eye-catching graphics. I’m glad my bison made it onto the sign, but the chalkboard the bison rests on is my favorite element. Incorporating the chalkboard allowed the rules sign do double duty as a space for program announcements.
