Rokhaya Kane is a rising sophomore at the Pennsylvania state University where she is actively working towards a dual degree in Economics and International Politics. While she attended a simulation of an African Union conference in the African Leadership Academy of Johannesburg, South Africa, Rokhaya found herself surrounded by great minds that would be future leaders of Africa and she realized that she too wanted to bring positive changes for her continent. In High school, she and one of her classmates created an SAT club that aimed to aid fellow high schoolers take their test. When she graduates from Penn State, Rokhaya wishes to join the African Union or the African development bank and strive towards a common goal. Besides her interest in social sciences, Rokhaya has been riding horse since she was eight years old and her passion for the sport allowed her to win the 5th place, among hundreds of participants, in the French championship of Lamotte Beuvron in 2013.
