Library and Learning Center Experience!

In my experience at the writing center, it was a very pleasant experience, and I am definitely going to be returning there. The first thing I did was go to the library, and as soon I walked in, I realized how beautiful and giant it was. At first, I looked like a lost puppy in the streets, but I went up to the front desk and just asked a simple question of, where is the sports section? They immediately started trying to help me and I was even given a guide to where the sports section was, and they were overall just so nice. I was only looking for Sports Illustrated magazines but instead I found so many other interesting reads that it was just crazy how much information they had. I was able to find the exact magazines I was looking for and I started working on my essay in the library. Even though the library was quiet it was a great place to work because I was able to sit there and just be focused and work hard.

When I went to go to the learning center, I was very nervous to be late, so I was there 15 minutes early just to make sure I was ready. I walked into the office and talked to the women at the desk. She was so nice to me; she could tell I was nervous, so she helped me get checked in and just had me sit in the waiting office. We sat and talked till my writing advisor came in, she really made me feel comfortable and able to be confident in myself. The writing advisor came in and she just extended the warm welcome by starting the session early and just saying if you don’t mind, I am going to be eating, which was the lightheartedness I needed to feel comfortable. The session went great, I went in depth about how I want to make sure it makes sense while also fitting the prompt. I was able to read my entire paper to her and she helped me with making sure that it hit all of the points while still being able to make sure the flow was good. Overall, my experience at the learning center was great, I felt comfortable there and my advisor was amazing with her technique helping me.
