the wall that heals
Looking for an opportunity to get involved on campus and in our community? From October 12th to the 15th, Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus will be hosting The Wall That Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Honoring millions of Americans that served for the Vietnam War, this exhibit pays respect to the 58,220 men and women who passed by showcasing their names.
want to volunteer?
With the exhibit on campus, open 24 hours a day, everyone from the local community is welcome to visit. Because the exhibit is large and delicate, Penn State is asking for volunteers to aid in setting it up, giving tours, and greeting those that visit. This will be a great opportunity to not only serve those lost during the Vietnam war, but to also learn more about its importance. If you would like to participate, please visit VolunteerSignup.org/RY4RQ. The dates available for volunteering are from October 11th to October 15th.
a combat photographer – through Vietnam and beyond
Another opportunity to learn more about the impact of the Vietnam War on campus is by attending the Vietnam…Through My Lens one man play. On October 13th at noon in the Community Center’s Hardy Auditorium, experience the story of Stu Richel, who served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. An impactful, eye-opening story is put to life through Richel’s words, with videos and photos offering a memorable effect.
