Enjoy a Blind Date with a Book in the Library

staff writer: sophie Machesky

Valentine’s Day is the best holiday for immersing oneself into romantic literature. However, finding the perfect read can be difficult.

In the library on Penn State Fayette, the Eberly Campus, there are wrapped books offered for students. By reading a quick passage about the book, students can choose to check the book out then open it for a surprise!

This event and the wrapped books will be available for checking out until the 16th of February. This gives students plenty of time to indulge in the Valentine’s Day spirit.

I participated in this event last year, choosing a book described as “writing,” “romantic,” and “thriller.” These are all typical book descriptions that I am drawn to. The book ended up being “Verity” by Colleen Hoover. Although this wasn’t a book that I would have chosen on my own, I still read it… and I fell in love with it. Finishing the book in under two days, I rated it five stars and have been raving about it since.

Maybe you’ll secretly find a great read, too!
