My first idea for my passion blog topic is golf. I have been playing golf for the past 5 years and I truly believe being a golfer helps define who I am as a person today. I knew I could only go up the ladder after shooting a 140 (the max score possible) during my freshman year tryouts and did so by making the J.V. team sophomore year and varsity for both my junior and senior years. During the pandemic, golf was one of the only things I was able to do and playing the sport almost every day allowed me to keep my mental health in check through 2020. I have a lot of experience with the game that helped me both mentally and socially so I believe I can write a lot about it in my passion blog.
My other idea that I could write my passion blog about is cars. From a very young age I have been a big fan of cars and remember steering the car through the neighborhood while sitting in my dad’s lap. I keep up with what’s going on in the car world on a day-to-day basis and am always fascinated when new features come out or when records are broken. Currently, my top two car brands that I am a fan of are Porsche and Tesla. I am always the person that picks my family’s next car because of how much I know about them and I have pretty good taste. I could go on and on about cars as well and even diversify what I talk about so that could also be a good topic for me.
Interesting topics! I love golf and cars, too. Are you solely fascinated with the way cars are (i.e., the features) or are you more interested in the inner mechanics of them? How much would you be able to write about golf or cars? Would you simply recollect anecdotes/stories of doing them from your younger days? (I would recommend that you stick with cars because I think you would have a lot more to say about it.) Either way, great topics!
These are great topics to talk about. Personally, I would stick with the car idea as I am not too sure how often golf news comes out. Of course, you could talk about each part of the sport itself and not just golf news, but cars is an interesting topic in its own right. I can’t wait to see which you decide on, and to see where you take these ideas.
