Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Angelina Santamaria. I am currently 20 years old, soon to be 21, and I am queer. While being queer does not encompass my entire personality or state-of-being in this world, I am reminded of my queerness daily, either through gender stereotypes, body dysmorphia, biphobia femicides, et Cetra.

And while media representation, specifically through cinema, may not be at the top of the gay agenda, it is never the less important to normalize that queer people are everywhere. We are like everyone else (not really, but you get the point). Hence, why I am creating this blog. Many LGBTQIA+ people struggle to find characters and stories that realistically represent their own experiences. I am tired of  “The Gay Bestfriend,” “They’re not lesbians, but just really close best friends,” and “The Gay Villian.”

So, welcome. More than anything, I hope to provoke critical, throughout provoking commentary about the media you consume. If nothing else, you can read my rants to kill some time..”
