In this episode, the captain is now Ji Suk-jin, meaning that whenever the episodes start it will be him welcoming the viewer to the episode rather than Yoo Jae-suk as before. But we don’t really care about Suk-jin like that, we care about the guests who are joining the cast today, Jin Ji-hee and Cha Jun-hwan, the famous Olympic Korean figure skater. Surprisingly enough, those two have actually met before on a figure skating show when they were younger, but haven’t seen each other in 11 years, so it’s a little awkward and hilarious when they formally introduce themselves again to one another. The PD announces that they are the captains and in order to choose who they want on their teams, the cast place bids on each captain, of various amounts, and the captains must choose who they think gave them the most and that person will be on their team. Jin Ji-hee chooses Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Kim Jong-kook, and Song Ji-hyo to be on her team leaving Cha Jun-hwan with Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon So-min, and Yang Se-chan and each team must choose someone as their weakest link and that person will have to prove that they don’t deserve to be traded to the other team at the end of each round.
For the first round, Suk-jin and So-min are both labeled the weakest link for their individual teams, resulting in them going to likely be paid the least at the end by their captain, as a sort of compensation for doing “well” during the games. The first game they play is memorization and each team chooses one individual to try and memorize the names of individuals as they walk by, those being part of the production crew, and if you press the buzzer first, you’re challenging your opponent and they must now correctly list in order who the individuals are, if they fail to do so, the other team wins a point. This ends up with team Ji-hee winning as Jun-hwan’s team is filled with those known to be airheads and not the smartest. To lift their spirits once more after a devastating loss, they have a Zumba instructor come in to teach them moves but there’s also a catch, they’ll be tested on their memorization of the steps too. It’s the captains that are being tested so you would think the Olympic figure skating athlete would easily have no trouble, but he does have trouble, in fact a lot of it, so Ji-hee’s team wins once again.
After this, the next and final game of the episode begins, where each team competes against the other team and try to get their piece of clay to stick to the other teams by slapping in toward on it, and if they are able to pick both pieces of clay up, then their team wins a point. At the beginning Ji-hee’s team is winning by a lot until Se-chan gets the idea to roll up their clay so it’s harder for the others team to be able to get their clay to stick to it, results in them actually gaining points back and eventually winning. After this game though, the decision must be made on who is being traded from both teams, especially the least likely one to be paid, and unsurprisingly it’s So-min being traded as she didn’t do well in any game, like at all. With this, it ends the episode but their games and shenanigans will continue into the next episode next week.
