In this episode the members are going hiking in a mountain trail and will be joined by Jang Hyuk (and let me be honest, this man is fine) but before he arrives, the members are laughing amongst and at each other because of their ridiculous and impractical hiking outfits. But most importantly, it’s Seok-jin’s who’s outfit is the most hilarious and impractical for hiking, the members even point out that he strictly stressed for fashion rather then practicality. Anyway, after they finish laughing amongst one another, Jang Hyuk joins them and he’s actually a very close friend of Jong-kook and this is when the PD begins to explain the mission for this episode, which is actually that there are no teams and everyone has a collective budget (that they must pay together) and whoever spends the least overall at the end of the day receives prizes. They all hike up the mountain for a bit and upon reaching their first site, they are able to order food and small treats before they continue up the mountain. Once they’ve finished eating, they see 2 rickshaws and partner up with one another while the remaining 4 walk alongside them. Se-chan and […]

“Unlucky Mansion”
In this episode, the cast all visit a mansion and are visited by the most unluckiest man in Korea, Kim Jun-ho. He’s not the best of guests, which the cast members all joked about, and the PD justified it by the fact that their other guests weren’t able to make. However, the cast continued on with their plans and decided to play multiple games in which they can earn chocolates depending on their rankings at the end of the game, however the one who has the most chocolates wins. The cast members also have a goal to try and get Jun-ho get into the top 4 finalists and if they do so, then those under him receive a punishment. But, if he gets any ranking below 4, everyone below him gets penalized with him and if he gets in last place, then everybody gets penalized. We first begin the show and games with each member drawing numbers and choosing pouches that hold a number of chocolates ranging from 20 in the most and 6 in the least. They first get to explore 3 rooms where they are able to bet and gamble with their chocolates over […]
“Golden Ratio Race”
In this episode, the cast members are joined by Bibi, Jeong Jun-ha, Luda from WJSN and Yeji from ITZY. The surprising thing is that the PD told the cast members their guests would be a “breath of fresh air” when only three of the guests truly are. To break the ice, the PD had them all play a game where they go around a square that contains a select number of sandals that each member must race to get one on their feet. If they don’t get one on their foot, they lose the round and must sit out while the rest of the members continue onto the next round and so on and so forth. At one point, Jeong Jun-ha and Jee Seok-jin were fighting over a sandal, that ended up breaking, but Jeong Jun-ha dropped kicked Jee Seok-jin resulting in his glasses going flying across the room and Yoo Jae-suk picking them up and wearing them until Jee Seok-jin realizes he’s missing them. This ends up being really hilarious because Seok-jin looks Jae-suk in the eyes asking where his glasses are and doesn’t realize until he does a double take. The results of this game helps determine the […]
“Octopus Game”
Hey! I’m finally back with another post and this time everyone should be able to guess what this episode is about and what’s going to happen once I tell y’all it’s based off of “Squid Game”. And if you don’t know what that show is, then you’re definitely living under a rock and need to go out and socialize because everyone is talking about it. EVERYONE! So let’s get into this now. I’m going to try and keep is short since we should have all seen the show, but there are so slight changes as to how the game was played but there was also a lot of similar things that happened that made me laugh really hard because it seemed like it was straight from the show. So in the beginning, the show starts off similar to how “Squid Game” stared but with the cast members all played Ddakji and with every time they flipped over the others origami square, they received 10 won but every time the ‘pink man’ flipped theirs over, they got hit in the head with the toy hammer. This continues for awhile until the PD sees fit that the members have played enough […]
“Western Food Road of Dignity”
In this episode, we continue off from a previous episode where the cast are joined by the South Korean Women’s National Volleyball team. In the past 2 episodes, the cast and team have been competing in games and continued on in this episode where they ended up playing volleyball on the water with a large ball. I know it sounds very weird but I promise you, when you look at the pictures, it’s very fun and everyone is laughing and enjoying themselves between the rounds. When the first two rounds end, the captains of each ‘gym’ (Jong-kook and Jae-suk) split their gyms up and await the results of the entirety of their games that had occurred in the previous episodes. It ends up with Jae-suk’s ‘gym’ winning overall however, individual players are yet to be announced and the bottom 2 losers receive a penalty. But there’s a twist! The bottom 2 also get to choose 3 other individuals they could possibly put the punishment onto instead. And unsurprisingly the bottom 2 are Se-chan and Haha, as normal, and they choose Jong-kook and 2 members from the national team to draw lots with them in the possibility of receiving the punishment. […]
“Tiger Gym”
In this episode of Running Man, cast members are joined by Mijoo, who is often mentored by Jeon So-min, then we have Lee Young-ji and Lee Sang-Joon. All guests have their own skill sets such as Mijoo now being a comedian as well as a K-pop star, Lee Young-ji who is a rapper, and Lee Sang-joon who is also a comedian but is actually just visiting the show because of his friend, Yang Se-chan. Moving on to the actual episode now. Kim Jong-kook is in charge of rejuvenating a gym that was used by pro athletes long ago and his task, given to him by the PD, is to get everyone to have exercised and be their coach by the end of the episode. And I know, that sounds terrible and not fun at all, but the episode is actually very enjoyable to watch and I found myself laughing hard at some points. But back to the episode. It continues with Jong-kook directing everyone to line up, but Yoo Jae-suk has other plans in mind and delegates himself as the assistant coach in the gym, to which he is punished with 10 squats by Jong-kook. They continue their shenanigans and […]
“Dilemma of Mafia”
The episode opens up with the members in their own collective vehicles (vans), and receive the newest version of Samsung phones. This was because the producers had done a poll and found out that their viewers really enjoyed watching the conversations that happen in chat between the members of the show. Upon playing around in the chat, the members receive a message from the PD and it says that they are in a game of “Mafia” and they must find out who the two mafia members are. The members then begin to suspect anyone and everyone of being in the mafia and must vote on who they think it is. For the first round, out of four, they suspect Yoo Jae-suk and Yang Se-chan of being members when in it’s actually Yoo Jae-suk and Jeon So-min. Who both were given a mission by the PD, which was to spell the first initial of their name in an acoustic poem, of sorts. The suspects are now put into interrogation rooms where the remaining group members split and confront them. Their goal is to get the suspect to confess, but if they choose to remain silent, then the mafia members get to remain members […]
“You Raise Men Up”
In this episode of Running Man, cast members are joined by Hani (from the girl group EXID), Park Ki-woong, and Yoon Shi-yoon. These guests are from a Korean comedy drama called”You Raised Me Up”, the title of the episode being a word play of it, and it’s about a man who has an erectile dysfunction and must go to the urologist to receive treatment where he runs into his first love, his doctor. But enough about that TV Show, in this episode the cast teams up with one another in a series of 4 missions, with the end goal of not being the last 2 with the fewest amount of points. Points are scored for each team in condescending order based on the order of winner to loser in each mission. The captain of the team decides how to distribute the points between members and themselves, however the teams change each mission. There are 4 teams in this episode, 1 of which has 4 members and the others consisting of 2 members each. In the first mission, groups compete against one another in a boxing ring trying to get their partner, who has noise canceling devices in their ears, to […]
