Since I was young I have always loved designing and creating random things from scratch. Most times using rolls upon rolls of duct tape and loads of cardboard. I have continued this passion for creating things as I have gotten older. Though as I got older my projects have become more ambitious and required more skill and knowledge such as welding and the use of expensive tools. An area in particular that interests me is cars; however, it is much more expensive and difficult to work on cars than it is with cardboard and duct tape. My goal is to be able to work with cars through design and fabrication. By studying art with a concentration in New Media I will be able to learn new skills and refine existing ones. I will also be able to learn to use computer programs for creating and designing which is important since many jobs and processes rely on technology. Ultimately with the use of an Art degree I plan on using my potential to be able to create and bring ideas to life and eventually having my own business designing and customizing cars.
