Professional growth is something that I value immensely. I believe that teachers should constantly be improving their practice, allowing it to evolve and grow with each and every class that they have. Not only do I value the feedback from my mentor teacher and my supervisor, but I also value feedback from my students. Ultimately, every decision that I make, every word that I say, or activity I plan will directly affect them. It is my job to learn just as much as it is theirs. I have observed multiple teachers in each grade in order to learn different instructional, planning, and assessment strategies, attended school wide events in order to learn about the Osceola Mills community, and done research on many classroom management strategies to promote self-awareness in my classroom.
