Pietro Elliott  Christian Motley Bailey McLaughlin

Biography: Pietro is a senior in biomedical engineering with hopes to attend medical school after graduation. Pietro joined SJC in the spring of 2021, serving as the Professional Outreach and Development Chair. As President, Pietro hopes to bring scientific literature education to undergraduate students in an exuberant manner where anyone can participate and excel. Pietro enjoys fitness, reading, playing soccer, chess, and coding outside of school.

 

Biography: Christian is a senior studying Mathematics with a focus on actuarial science and a minor in statistics. He plans on working as a property and causality actuary after graduation. Christian first joined SJC as a general member in the Spring of 2021. His favorite part about SJC is the open discussion that is promoted which is not provided in my normal class work. Christian is also a member of the Actuarial Science Club. When Christian is not playing cool math games, he enjoys video games, chess, reading, watching movies, and disc golf. Biography: Bailey is a sophomore studying Biobehavioral Health with minors in Biology and Neuroscience and hopes to attend medical school after graduation. She first joined the SJC in the Fall of 2022. Bailey is passionate about educating others on how to read scientific journals more efficiently, which she believes is an invaluable skill for students of any major. Bailey also works as a research assistant in the Behavioral Neurogenetics Lab. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing her guitar, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Cade Walker  Hanna Pfeiffer

Biography: Cade is a junior majoring in Biobehavioral Health while minoring in Biology and Global Health. He hopes to attend medical school after finishing his undergraduate degree at Penn State. Cade first joined the SJC in the fall of 2022. As the Professional Outreach and Development Chair, he works on finding and maintaining professional and academic relationships that further the mission of SJC. Cade also is an active member of Remote Area Medical, AED Pre-health Honors Society, and works as a research assistant in the Shalev Lab. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, and going to local coffee shops.
Biography: Hanna is a senior studying biomedical engineering with a focus on biomaterials and a minor in math. She plans on entering the research and development industry after graduation. She first joined SJC in teh fall of 2022. Hanna also participates in Dr. Hayes’s research lab developing a nano-particle drug-delivery system. You may also find Hanna in the basement of Sparks as part of the Penn State Learning team, tutoring calculus. Outside of school, Hanna also enjoys reading, fitness, jigsaw puzzles, and hiking.
