Equal pay for equal work
There is substantial evidence globally that men are more likely to earn more than women (A culmination of data analyzing different avenues/perspectives can be found here). Depending on a country’s development, social system, government, and gender culture the treatment of women from birth influences the trajectory of what they will do for work. To address and reform these issues, we need to take a look at the cycles women are put through globally that impact if they are able to work, working conditions, and career mobility.
The promotion of a women’s right to work and have a career must become an intrinsic global necessity, not only for economies sake, but as a pathway to a sustainable global society.
