Working with our Faculty Learning Community (FLC) reading James Lang’s Small Teaching text, brought me in touch with Dr. Sarah Cavanagh, associate professor of psychology at Assumption College. We are considering using her text, The Spark of Learning: Energizing the College Classroom with the Science of Emotion in our fall FLC.
We hope to eventually work with the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence, Teaching & Learning with Technology, and Penn State York to bring her to campus in AY 2019- 2020 for a half-day workshop with faculty from regional campuses and students in our psychology and human development & family studies departments.
