If you owned a huge company would you do anything to keep its dark secrets hidden from the public? Would you kill family and friends that helped you build it? How far would you really go in order to stay on top? Would you turn into the devil? Well say hello to Luscious Lyon. Luscious Lyon is the main character in the television series, “Empire.” Lucious is the cruel CEO and co-founder of Empire Entertainment. He often manipulates to get what he wants. Lucious is very concerned with preserving his image. He is willing to take down just about anyone to maintain that image, even those closest to him such as his family and childhood friends. Lucious was recently diagnosed with ALS and he wants to keep his illness a secret. Lucious is very manipulative. He uses this skill with his family: Cookie, Anika, Andre, Hakeem, and recently, Jamal. He is also extremely selfish. He often calls himself a god. He is the main villain to his own story. And will stop at nothing until Empire Entertainment is on top and his family is back together. This show really makes me wonder if this is what the music business is really about. You hear rumors about the Illuminati. I feel as though he resembles both the Illuminati and the devil. Luscious is all about himself when you sign  over to him you are his and he will do whatever he needs to do to keep you his. I love empire and the best villain of all time Luscious Lyon.

I met a wonderful woman today. Her name was Misty Misal. When I first saw Mrs.Misal I thought she was amish. She did not wear any makeup, didn’t have on any jewelry  and she had her hair up in a bun. I later found out that she works for the Amish community and in order to  keep her customers she must dress like them to fit into their culture. Mrs. Misal tells us that the Amish community is a very respectful religion and in order for her to become an Amish entrepreneur she had to understand their culture. After we found out who she worked for she started to explain her profession. Misty Misal has been a licensed massage therapist for 21 years now. At the age of 19, she started doing massage therapy when she moved to Pennsylvania, where she has remained since 2002. She chose to be a massage therapist because only two people in the  Pennsylvania area where she lives are massage therapist. Since Amish women are not allowed to do massage therapy. Mrs.Misal decided to start her own massage therapy business because she knew she was very specialized. When she started her business she only had one table and 10 pairs of sheets. she started out with one client and one advertisement in the newspaper. Eventually, word got around and she started having 16 clients a day. Since she had to travel she charged a 10 dollar traveling fee. When she got to the client she would do a hour long message from the top of the head to the bottom of the feet, training the system to work on its own. I really look up to Mrs.Misal because she is a really successful business women and she made it work for her. She changed her ways to fit into a society. She actually works in an Amish health food store with no electricity. I could not imagine a world with out electricity makeup and curling irons. I hope one day I will be as successful as her.

Recently I have been watching “Sex In The City”  the show is based on the character Carrie Bradshawl played by Sarah Jessica Parker.Carrie shows what it is like to be a successful business women in New York she is a big journalist ,has a column in Vogue, and is a socialite and goes to many parties to network. She also juggles her love life, and the lives of her three best friends. overnight carrie would write about what she had learned about life in the city. part of being a successful business women is being able to handle all aspects of life. In fact it was carries life that influenced her job. Carrie was relatable to women all over because she has a stable career and shows that the life of a business woman is not easy.

I used to work for one of the most popular hair salons in Delaware called New Trend Hair Salon. I learned a lot from my previous employer about running a business.I talked to my old employer and asked her “is it easy running a business?” she replied  It takes a lot to run a Business. I can agree with her I’ve witnessed a lot that she had to do.It was a lot of money spent but she always made her money back and a lot of times she made even more money then she spent. She had to buy all the products and she had to sell the products, not to mention she bought snacks for the customers such as coffee, water, and tea we also had cookies, candy, and crackers. she had to buy toilet paper, soap, and air freshener for the  bathrooms, she also had to pay rent, water, and electric bills, not to mention the big staff she had to pay. But it wasn’t  only the money she also had to deal with she also had to deal with her customers and her staff. There are a lot of crazy women that walk into salons and try to get over on us. You have no idea how many women try to say they want a refund or try to sue us that’s why she bought cameras and had contracts she is always prepared. You can also assume that having a very large staff of women there is going to be a lot of drama and conflict which she handles very well.I learned a lot from my recent employer I look up to her she’s been doing this for over 13 years now and she has inspired  me to want my own business someday.
