Our lab is dedicated to providing Penn State undergraduate students with hands-on experiences with a range of research methodologies and projects. Our current and past undergraduate research assistants have helped us with everything from literature reviews to running participants and analyzing data. Our current projects will have research assistants recruiting then conducting one-on-one structured interviews with participants. There is also a potential for undergraduates to be trained to collect biological samples and monitor and record physiological data. We strive to provide research assistants with numerous relevant experiences, support, and training to help them meet their future educational and career goals. In previous years, the work of our undergraduate research assistants resulted in a first- and second-authored presentations at a national conference, and a research award for one of them to pay for travel to the conference. This year, we are again planning for our undergraduate students to take the lead on at least two national conference presentations.
