About the Center
The Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence was established through a gift by Steve and Nancy Sheetz. This downtown Penn State Altoona hub is one that ignites the entrepreneurial spirit and launches students driven to greatness.
The Sheetz Fellows experience offers an education in leadership, ethics, and service. It molds well-rounded students who are ready for the world and prepares students for citizenship and for lifetime learning.
The Pechter Business Plan Competition provides a process for students to turn great ideas into great businesses. Competitions encourage students to form interdisciplinary teams, to take ideas from the concept phase, through a feasibility study/market analysis to a full business plan, and to build a new venture.
