The Summer Institute on Contemporary Art is a free professional development institute at Penn State. Our exploration of contemporary art and social engagement this summer will be informed by readings, discussions, and presentations by visiting scholars.

Co-facilitated and co-directed by Alexandra Allen and B. Stephen Carpenter II with support from instructor Jeffrey M. Cornwall. Act 48 credits are available or educators may enroll in Art Education 513: Professional Development Summer Institute to participate in the institute followed by a five-week online course.
