Welcome to the Silberman Lab! The Silberman Lab works to understand pathways in the brain involved in emotional regulation and how they are altered by chronic drug abuse and stress. Using a variety of cellular, molecular and imaging techniques in mouse models, we hope to develop novel therapies for mental health disorders including addiction, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. We are also interested in understanding how diet affects emotion regulation pathways and the role that diet plays in mental health.
