Hi everyone! My name is Paige Yacobian and I am a sophomore from Boston, ma majoring in Broadcast Journalism. To start off, Science makes me nauseous. Whether it be chemistry, physics, biology, or environmental, nothing about science appeals to me. That said, I am taking this course to see if I can find a science class that I actually enjoy. Walking into it, I was very unsure of what I was getting myself into, but so far I have enjoyed class and couldn’t be happier (despite the graphic worms). The reason I am not a science major is not only because I don’t enjoy it, but also because I am terrible at it. The periodic table looks like a foreign language to me, while learning about minerals and dirt is simply the last thing I want to do. I look forward to getting to know all of you non-science majors and bond over our lack of science knowledge. To learn a little more about me, you can click here and look at my instagram.

Hey Paige!
Im also in the college of communications! I am hoping to get into the advertising major but if that doesn’t work broadcast journalism is something i’m thinking about doing as well! I completely agree with you about the thought of science making you nauseous. Me and science really don’t get along and i also find a lot of the stuff we learned about in high school science classes (like minerals, elements and dirt) were not only boring but completely uninteresting. Your instagram is really cool and you have a lot of followers! If you want here is a link to check out mine! http://instagram.com/victorialaguardia
Hey Paige!
I’m Carolyn and I am an Advertising major so we are both in the college of communications! I don’t know about you, but I heard that college of communications students love taking this class because it is not a very math or experiment heavy science class and it allows us to write a lot and think about interesting topics! I am awful at science as well. In High School, my physics teacher made up math rules that don’t really exist. He wanted us to use those rules and it ended up messing me up in my math class too! That’s really cool that you are from Boston! My best friend here at Penn State is also from Massachusetts but she is from a town about 30 minutes outside of Boston. Your instagram was awesome! you took a lot of fun pictures. I am kind f obsessed with instagram and check my instagram feed way too often ( probably like 15 times a day…I know its crazy). The periodic table of elements is extremely difficult to read! But, in case you are interested, here is a link on how to read it!
