Blondes have more fun?

I recently changed my hair color from light brown to a dark blonde. When i changed my hair i would get the usual remark from when someone sees a blonde person, “Hey blondes have more fun!”. But is there any truth behind this stereotypical phrase?

In an article from the Daily mail UK it discussed a survey with 1,200 respondents that attributed people with blonde hair to be more “extrovert and sexy” and almost 90% of the male survey responders believed that blondes actually do have more fun. There was also a finding ton cosmetics social media that stated on average girls with blonde hair go out 3 nights a week and girls with brown hair go out on an average 2 times per week.

It doesn’t matter what color hair you yourself prefer but it is proven that different hair colors send off a different image. People with brown hair are considered the most knowledgable and classy, people with blonde hair aren’t taking as seriously and considered to be more fun, and people with red hair give off the vibe that they are great at sex.

So when looking at the question do blondes have more fun? the answer is unclear. Although there are statistics that prove women of blonde hair to be more extrovert then people with brown hair it still doesn’t mean that they do not have just as much fun as blondes. And although blondes are considered to be more viewed as sexy, people with brown hair are taken more seriously which could lead to more serious relationships.

So for now the question is still up to debate and perhaps soon there will be more  studies done to try to answer this question but until then blondes you do you!

Personally, I like being a brunette. It fits my face, plus I would look absolutely ridiculous as a blonde. My main point here, though, is that I have tons of fun. I think the perception that blondes have more fun actually make people who are blonde feel like they need to be more extroverted. Maybe it’s not that blondes have more fun because they’re blonde but more blondes have more fun because they’re trying to follow the stereotype.

I think this idea is purely based off opinion. When someone is asked if they think blondes have more fun, they are giving their opinion! Are there any actual scientific evidence that this is true? I think brunettes can have equal amount of fun as the blonde next to her. It is what they girl or guy makes out of their experiences. I don’t think that blondes stick out. It may help get you noticed but I also think that guys look at the girls face as well. You can be an attractive blonde girl, but if there is an even more beautiful brunette, she wins over you. I think it is just what a guy finds attractive in a girl.

I’m naturally blonde and the amount of times I’ve rolled my eyes at this saying is uncountable. Personally I think that the only reason this saying has was invented was because people with blonde hair tend to stand out more compared to people with other hair colors. For example, if there’s a group of females and the majority are brunette and there are only a few blondes, the male is most inclined to check out the blonde first because her hair differentiates her from the others. It’s not that blondes have more fun, it’s that they’re more noticeable which gives people the impression that they have more fun!

My question to this blog post is does it apply to guys? Being a sophomore I have had a lot of fun over the past year but personally I do not believe that hair color makes you have more or less fun. I have met people of all different ethnicities, races, and hair colors and continue to party with all of them. This was an interesting article but I unfortunately do have to disagree.
