Apple or Coffee during the morning

Break

I used to hear the saying that apple wake you up better than coffee during the morning, and apple help you to stay awake better than coffee. I don’t know which one is true. But I know that there are many people that can’t get up in the morning without a cup of coffee, my mom is one of them. She would go to the coffee downstairs every morning. This is a habit for them. What I am going to study today is to find out which make you stay awake better, coffee or apple?

Coffee can make you feel more awake when you are tired, this is a common knowledge. According to The wannable scientists, there are about 95 milligrams of caffeine contained in a cup of coffee, and it will stimulate your nerves system to make you awake and clear. An apple contain about 100 calories of proteins and carbohydrates and nutrients your body need. There is no special elements in apple that will excited your nerves system and wake you up. But there are things that can keep your body going.

Coffee also contain antioxidant that is good for your health. According to LiveStrong, if you drink less than 6 cup of coffee a day, your risk of getting diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular falls. And the chance of you getting a liver cancer is drop by half. Apple also antioxidant, it also have phytonutrients that is good for your body. They also say eating apple improve your breathing, and the risk of  asthma falls. It helps with your lung a lot and reduce the chance of getting lung cancer. Apple also has many other positive effects o human body. A apple a day keeps the doctor away.

If you drink coffee a lot, then you are not wake by the caffeine in the coffee. You are awake because your body are used to it when you drink coffee. If you just want to wake up, coffee is definitely your choose. But my suggestion is to take them both. They are all perfect for your morning!

I was excited to read about this, because I strongly dislike coffee and need something to keep me awake in the morning. It would be beneficial to have a study done, to see the energy somebody has performing certain tasks after all getting the same amount of sleep. One group would get coffee, and the other would eat an apple. Getting a percentage and statistics might be able to prove a larger basis for which one is more effective in keeping people awake. Here is a list of other things that supposedly can help more than coffee: List

I have to say this blog is pretty interesting as I have heard lots of stuff we ‘should’ eat in the morning because they have hundreds of benefits to our body. Unfortunately, my body have not feeling to coffee ( I don’t know why, maybe I should write a blog for it) unless it is a double shot. However, I still like to drink a cup of it every morning because it warms especially in winter and make me mentally feel good. As what you said, apple can also provide energy for our body. However, I am curious if there are any other kinds of fruits can do the same thing (like peach or pear). Maybe you can write another blog for that! Furthermore, I have also heard that drinking a bottle of warm water after you wake up can increase the speed of your blood-flowing in order to clean your vessels and make you feel energetic. Of course we cannot eat or drink so many food or fruits if we still want to eat breakfast or even lunch, and a cup of coffee might be the easiest thing to get for us in a lovely morning!

Apples are great. Not my favorite, but they’re good. You didn’t really have too much negatives to say about apples so I’d like to share a few. Besides the calories (90 to 100 in every apple), the red fruit has some downfalls. First of all it can lead to loose stools (ew) because of their high amounts of fiber, which in some cases can cause stomach pains. Let’s not forget that with coffee, you don’t have to worry about any pesticides you may accidentally ingest with an apple. Source.

Wow this is very interesting. I never really thought of other ways to wake up in the morning other than coffee or energy drinks, which are not the healthiest possible options. After reading this I am going to try and be more open to healthier options like apples in the morning. In this blog you did a great job of showing that apples will make you wake up in the morning, but another blog idea could take this in the opposite direction. You could try to find studies on what makes people tired and want to sleep. This would be awesome because then people would have healthy ways to wake up and healthy ways to fall asleep.

I thought this blog was very interesting, especially with the amount of caffeine I take in daily ever since I started college. I had heard that apples would give you an energy boost, but did not really ever take it seriously. Here it talks about the importance of a healthy breakfast. An apple also has the aspect of being a healthy option of food for the morning. Usually you eat food with your coffee in the morning, so I agree with you. Why not just eat an apple with your coffee?

I never heard the saying that an apple can help keep you awake. While asking what can help keep you awake is an interesting question, another question worth asking could be what keeps you in the best state of mind when you are awake. I have a friend who becomes incredibly jittery whenever she drinks caffeine, so while she is awake she can not concentrate. Looking at what keeps a person in the best quality mental state could be an interesting angel.

There are approximately 19 grams of sugar in a medium sized apple. This could also boost your energy in the morning. In addition to the sugar, apples are food so they are more like a breakfast food. This study shows the positive affects of eating breakfast: http://www.webmd.com/diet/obesity/lose-weight-eat-breakfast. Not only will you start the day off right but you can gain a routine and start losing weight. Coffee can induce anxiety which is definitely not a healthy start to any day. I think that an apple would be the better choice but is really up to preference!
