MY first week at PSU
To say I was not nervous as I left for Penn State would be a lie. Trying new things has always been something that has interested me but with that being said no matter what it is there is that doubt in your mind about whether you should of just stayed. I got to Penn State on Sunday with both of my parents, car was fully loaded and they’re ready to let their baby boy go for college. As I got here I was the last one of my three roommates to get here so unfortunately I got stuck with the bed in the middle of the room (easily the worst one) but that did not phase me, I was ready to start my journey. I am living in a supplemental room with three other guys so as you can imagine unpacking the first day here was quite rough. After we settled in we decided that we are going to get dinner then go out with some friends we met.
On the day where all of the Leap students had to go to the Eisenhower auditorium my roommates and I were walking aimlessly, little did we know we were walking the complete wrong direction but as we realize that we are lost we turn around and these two kids are following us and say “do you know where we go?” we unanimously responded with ‘ No do you guys’ with produced the same response from them. The more crazy part is those two guys who randomly followed us are now one of my closest friends, so coincidence… I think not. On Wednesday I got a couple guys to play in the 3v3 basketball tournament outside Pollock, this was one of my first event that I willingly signed myself up and it was awesome although the outcome didn’t turn out how we wanted it I still had a blast. My first week at Penn State was all around a great experience and it all concluded with the pool party last night. I can’t wait to see new faces and make countless memories with my fellow Nittany Lions.
