Title
Small Worlds/Tiny Earth Association: Bacterial Resistance
Abstract
The Small Worlds/Tiny Earth association started in 2012 at Yale University. The main focus of this project was to discover bacterial resistance from collecting soil from the dirt outside and using pipettes to dilute to bacteria into sterile test tubes to test the resistance each time the soil is diluted into a solution. After we tested the dilution, we smeared the soil solution onto a agar plate and see the bacterial growth inside of soil. *Pictures of the bacteria from the soil will be provided below* Once we plated a sample of the bacteria we incubated the agar at 25 degrees Celsius and then resampled the test to see if the results would match up to the pipette dilution test.
