Number 4! I cannot believe that my fourth week here at Penn State has already come to a close. I have appreciated almost everything that has been thrown at me in this month that I have been here. Although I didn’t have the most interesting week this time, it was surely fun to relax and not have a super busy schedule.
One thing that was really fun this week however, was my dad came up to visit me and he is taking me home for the weekend. I can’t wait to come home and see all of my friends that I haven’t seen for a month. I bet that they will ask me all sorts of questions and it will get overwhelming. Nevertheless, I am still super excited to go home and see my family for the weekend. I hope that my room wasn’t turned into a gym when I left!
This week, when my dad visited me, we got to go play golf which was a super fun experience. At home, all throughout the summer I’m used to playing golf with my dad all the time. Since being here, I haven’t really got to play golf with anyone else yet because a lot of people forgot to bring their clubs.
The highlight of this week was probably the food that I ate. I kind of went on a little binge downtown and ending up spending almost $100 dollars on food! Definitely going to manage my spending a little better in the future.
Every week here seems to go by faster and faster and I cannot wait to make my final video for Mass Media. I feel like it will be a great thing to look back on and remember all of the memories, friends, and things that I learned just in this short summer semester. One of the more important reasons I’m looking forward to the future weeks is so that it cools down a little bit! My roommate and I walk in to our room and it feels like a sauna.
One assignment I’m really eager for his the student led lecture. I think that it is a really cool concept to let the students research and then teach a topic to the class that will actually be information that is important to the curriculum. It is a good idea to make new groups for each project so that we can learn how to work in a new environment with different personalities and work ethics. I think it is a good lesson to learn for the future when I will be surrounded by a bunch of different people who like to work in different ways.
