Windows Setup

Are you using a Microsoft Work at Home edition that you purchased from the software.psu.edu site or have installed any other version of Microsoft Office provided by the University? Please follow Steps 1-5 below.
Are you are installing this on a personally owned machine that has not had any University owned version of Office installed? Skip to Step 2 below.

1. Install the Outlook registry fix for Office 365:
  - Download/access the script:
    - Office 2016 https://psu.box.com/s/8ahdv5mffqlreso20fjbig7dbzwqf23iii
    - Office 2013 https://psu.box.com/s/j5jq3ed88rom7pq3mdqs5ffjb70dq3rw
    - Launch PowerShell in Windows (see below for instructions)
      - Windows 7:
        
        Click Start.
        
        Type powershell.
      - Windows 10:
        
        In the taskbar search, type powershell.
        
        Now see the result Windows PowerShell which appears on the top.
        
        The UAC prompt may ask you for your consent.
        
        Click yes, and the prompt will open.
    - Copy and paste code into PowerShell.
    - Press 1 to install when prompted.
2. Login to https://office.psu.edu .
3. Select “Install Office apps” to download a copy of Microsoft Office.
4. Follow the steps on the screen.
