My Summer Internship Experience – Yasar Awan

I grew up in New York City and I didn’t know when I would get the chance to come back and live there after my family and I moved to Philadelphia. This summer I had the opportunity to go back “home” and intern for Colgate-Palmolive in New York City.

SCMA: Forging Wheels at Standard Steel

Home away from home – Challenges of B School and support from The Smeal community

After completing one eighth of my MBA program, I am proud to say that I survived, as a matter of fact we all survived. It sure was a whirlwind. Everyone warned me that MBA program is very demanding, but I never understood what they meant until I experienced it. This deserves to be repeated; business school takes every second your life, of course in a positive way.

Smith M&A Competition 2013

The Penn State team at the Smith M&A Case Competition 2013 was made up of Iqbal Aasim, Masoud Ghayoumi from the 2nd year class and Stew Jamieson, Apurv Vachhani from the 1st year.

Personally speaking, the opportunity to showcase Penn State’s Finance prowess was the primary driving force in my decision to participate in this competition. In addition, it was a great learning opportunity and it also gave us the chance to network with students from other top schools and with industry experts who attended the event as judges.
