Use the following form to sign up for a MySQL database.
How to Access this MySQL Database
Once you have filled out this form you should receive an email from DoNotReply-Smeal@psu.edu with your database connection information and first-time login information.
To access your database go to https://psu.workspaceoneaccess.com/
Note: If you are not already logged into your browser with your Penn State Office 365 account you will be prompted to log in.
Once logged into https://psu.workspaceoneaccess.com/ navigate over to the Apps tab and launch the virtual environment (Virtual-Lab) into either a browser or the Horizons client (if installed) by using the three dots in the lower right-hand corner of the lab.

Note. The first time you connect to https://psu.workspaceoneaccess.com/ for course work you should be sure to connect to OneDrive to ensure all your work is being saved and always available.
Once in the virtual environment Launch MySQL Workbench, this is a blue and white icon with a dolphin on it.
From within MySQL Workbench click the + next to “MySQL Connections”
In the Setup New Connection window, you will configure the connection name, hostname, and username.
Connection Name: Something memorable for your course work
Hostname: Provided to you in your DoNotReply-Smeal@psu.edu email, however s1-mysql-hydradb1-azure-prod.mysql.database.azure.com is the most common connection.
Username: Penn State Access ID no @psu.edu
Click Ok
Double Click to launch the connection. You should be asked to provide a password, please use the one provided to you in your email.
Next, you will be prompted to reset this password
With the password now reset it will prompt you to use your new password.
You are now in your newly configured MySQL Workbench environment.
